John Vo (he/him) is a journalist and multimedia creator currently residing in Toronto. Growing up in Canada’s capital of Ottawa, Ont., he was surrounded by opportunities to participate in creative spaces. That passion for writing and examining current events led him to pursue a bachelor of journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).

 

Currently in his final year of the journalism program, the past four years have been dedicated to expanding my portfolio as a writer and masthead member for various magazines and news publications, weaving stories from the threads of life’s most fleeting moments. With a trusty laptop and a desire to highlight underrepresented worlds, his work explores the intersections of pop culture, art and the human experience. Whether he chasing the pulse of a city or unravelling the quiet beauty of everyday life, John crafts narratives that invite readers to pause and reflect on how to uplift the people not given the equitable platforms and see the world in a new light.
